Description

The proposed project would widen SH 361 to a four-lane highway with two travel lanes in each direction, raised center medians with left turn lanes as needed, and a sidewalk/shared use path. The proposed project is approximately 15 miles in length and would be designed to improve safety and mobility along SH 361. The project limits are Park Road 22 to Access Road 1. Additional right of way (ROW) is anticipated to be needed. However, the project is in the preliminary stage of design and input from the public is being requested before potential ROW impacts are identified.

Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time.

The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain with some construction anticipated to occur in wetlands.

Purpose The purpose of the virtual public meeting with in-person option is for participants to learn about the process TxDOT follows, view a pre-recorded presentation and supporting project exhibits, and ask questions and submit comments.
