| Meeting details | Thursday, March 19, 2026 Blinn College – Student Center Attendees will be able to come and go as they please to review informational displays and ask questions of staff in an open house format. On the day of the public meeting, the information presented will be made available online. |
| Purpose | The TxDOT – Bryan District is preparing plans to improve the roadway along BS 36 (S. Day Street) north of US 290 and SH 36 south of US 290 in Brenham, Washington County, Texas. The purpose of this meeting is to present the proposed project and receive public comments. |
| Description | The proposed roadway improvements would extend and reconfigure the existing medians along S. Day Street north of US 290 and SH 36 south of US 290. The existing medians would be extended by an additional 555 ft to the north and 660 ft to the south. The goal of the project is to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion near the US 290 intersection, provide access to businesses near the intersection and enhance safety. TxDOT does not anticipate any right-of-way acquisition for this project. |
