Purpose

The Texas Department of Transportation, Bryan District, is hosting an in-person public meeting to provide information and obtain feedback on potential relief route locations around the City of Hearne in Robertson County, Texas.

The public meeting will be held in an open house format in which attendees will be able to come and go as they please. TxDOT staff will also be available to provide information and answer study-related questions.

Description The Bryan District is conducting the SH 6/US 79 Hearne relief route study to reduce congestion and improve mobility to US 79, US 190 and SH 6 which currently goes through Hearne, TX, as well as the Union Pacific Railroad. The study will evaluate viable corridors for a relief route to accommodate current and future traffic demands, including evaluation of safety along the corridor by incorporating modern roadway design standards.
