Note: The in-person option will be held in open house format. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the virtual public hearing, which will be playing on a screen, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants, and leave written comments. 

Purpose The purpose of this public hearing to gather input on improvements to SH 105 from 0.1 miles east of  SH 326 to Pine Island Bayou in Hardin County, Texas. 
Description

The approximately 7.3-mile proposed project would:

  • Expand the existing two-lane undivided highway to a five-lane undivided highway.
  • Construct new isolated raised center medians and improve multiple intersecting streets and driveway locations.
  • Construct three new detention basins.
  • Require approximately 144.7 acres of additional right-of-way and 1.1 acres of temporary construction easements.

The proposed project would involve construction in wetlands. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way, and potentially displace zero (0) residences and six (6) non-residential structures.
