Public Hearing - SH 71 at FM 1209

Purpose:
The purpose of the public hearing is to present the proposed project on SH 71 from CR 206 to SH 21 in Bastrop County. Displays will be available for viewing at 5:30 p.m. with the formal hearing starting at 6:30 p.m. Comments must be received on or before May 15, 2019 to be a part of the official hearing record.
Description:
Proposed improvements include the following:
- Constructing new frontage roads
- Adding a grade-separation over the FM 1209 intersection
- Adding shared-use paths on both sides of SH 71 and FM 1209
- Improvements at FM 1209
- Adding turnarounds to the intersection of SH 71 and FM 1209

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
