The hearing will begin with an open house from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. During this time, the public will be able to review available project information and exhibits, discuss the project with project staff, and ask questions. The formal presentation will begin at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a public comment period.

Description:

The proposed project, known as the Oak Hill Parkway, extends approximately 6.15 miles along US 290 (from Loop 1 to west of FM 1826) as well as approximately 1.31 miles along SH 71 (from US 290 to Silvermine Drive). Improvements include upgrading the existing facility to a controlled access highway with three tolled lanes and three non-tolled frontage lanes in each direction as well as grade-separated interchanges. Proposed improvements also include direct connectors, or flyovers, between US 290 and SH 71, as well as significant bicycle and pedestrian facilities lining the full length of the project corridor.
