Description

The Mobility Authority is proposing to add express lanes along approximately 8-miles of the south MoPac (Loop 1) Expressway from Cesar Chavez Street to Slaughter Lane in Austin, Travis County, Texas. The Mobility Authority and TxDOT launched the environmental study in 2013 to identify a mobility solution to this stretch of congested highway that improves mobility for drivers, transit riders, bicyclists, and pedestrians in a manner that promotes environmental stewardship and sustainability.

In compliance with Section 4(f) of the Highway Act of 1966 and Chapter 26 Texas Parks and Wildlife Code, the public hearing will present information regarding the temporary construction easements need to build the project and review potential temporary impacts to park and recreational properties adjacent to MoPac South.
