Please note, this is not a live event. The materials can be viewed at your convenience. The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation with both audio and visual components. If you do not have internet access, the information will also be available for public review Oct. 8 – 22, 2025 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Amarillo District Office, 5715 Canyon Dr., Amarillo, TX 79110. Purpose | TxDOT's Amarillo District is conducting a virtual public meeting to provide updates and receive comments on proposed revisions to the 2025 – 2028 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP). Projects affected by the revision include the removal of the following truck parking projects: • CSJ: 0238-06-039, US 54 in Sherman County (at County Road 9) • CSJ: 0090-03-066, IH 40 in Oldham County (Westbound lane at mile marker 20) • CSJ: 0066-05-080, US 87 in Moore County (1.4 miles south of SH 354) All members of the community are encouraged to participate through the virtual public meeting and provide written comments on the proposed revisions. |
Description | The Rural TIP includes all added capacity and regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, this meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The Rural TIP meeting are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the Rural TIP. A short presentation, exhibits explaining how the Rural TIP operates, and projects that are included in it will be available to view during the virtual public meeting. |
