Western Center Boulevard to Nine Mile Bridge Road (currently under construction)

Construction began on State Highway (SH) 199 from Western Center Boulevard to Nine Mile Bridge Road in spring 2017.  The project will complete the remaining highway section by constructing six mainlanes (three in each direction), ramps and four bridges at Western Center Boulevard, Hanger Cut-Off, Nine Mile Bridge Road and over Cottonwood Creek. This five-mile, $46.3 million project is part the Texas Clear Lanes initiative to address congestion.

The project is estimated for completion in 2019. Motorists can plan their travel by viewing information on lane closures at drivetexas.org
