The TxDOT Bryan District, the Bryan/College Station Metropolitan Planning Organization and the city of Bryan are developing plans to improve safety and mobility along BS6-R (Texas Avenue) from State Highway 21 to FM 60 (University Drive). Proposed improvements include, adding raised medians to improve turning safety, and constructing shared-use paths and sidewalks for pedestrians and bicyclists along BS6-R (Texas Avenue).

The proposed Texas Avenue Improvements would be constructed in two phases:

  • Phase 1: SH 21 Intersection Improvements
  • Phase 2A: Raised Medians
  • Phase 2B: Shared-Use Paths and Sidewalks
