Purpose:
The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to I-10 from Loop 1604 in east San Antonio to SH 130 east of Seguin. An open house will start one hour before the public hearing. Project information and schematics of the proposed improvements will be available for review and project staff will be available to answer questions. The formal hearing will begin at 6 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to present the proposed improvements and to receive public comment on the proposed project. Comments must be received on or before Feb. 15, 2019 to be a part of the official hearing record.
Description:
The proposed project would add one main lane in each direction between the project limits, bringing the total number of main lanes to three in each direction. Additionally, the project would convert existing two-way frontage roads to one-way frontage roads and add frontage roads where they do not currently exist. Reconfigured frontage roads would provide two lanes in each direction. The project would also upgrade some interchanges and reconstruct several overpasses and underpasses to improve bridge clearances and traffic operations on I-10. To improve operations and accommodate the conversion of frontage roads, the project would change the location of numerous entrance and exit ramps within the project limits. It also proposes to add bicycle and pedestrian accommodations at identified intersections throughout the corridor.
Although additional right of way is required, no residential or non-residential structures would be displaced. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition may be obtained at the public hearing or from TxDOT’s San Antonio District office (address below).

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
