Purpose:
The purpose of the public meeting is to introduce and to receive input about the I-69 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study, which encompasses I-69 from Spur 527 to BW 8 in Harris County and includes the cities of Houston, Bellaire and West University. The meeting will be held in an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation is planned. Please note: TxDOT is hosting an additional public meeting about this study that displays the same meeting materials but at a different location on March 29, 2018.
Description:
The I-69 PEL study is a high-level, early-planning process; the goal of a PEL study is to gather feedback during planning to inform the environmental review process. Maps of the study corridor and exhibits will be available at the public meeting.
Special accommodations: TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English and Spanish. Also, Chinese, Vietnamese and Spanish-language interpreters will be present at the meeting. If you have a special communication accommodation need, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call TxDOT’s Public Information Office at (713) 802-5076 at least five working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
