Purpose:
The purpose of the public meeting is to gather public input on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-2022 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Jasper, Newton and Tyler counties. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions.
Description:
The TIP is a mechanism used by TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to fund projects for the next four years and includes all federally-funded projects. The public is encouraged to attend and provide comments. The public meeting is being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comments concerning the program.
Special accommodations: The public meeting will be conducted in English. Persons interested in attending the public meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs, such as the need for an interpreter, are encouraged to contact the TxDOT Beaumont District, at (409) 892-7311. Requests should be made at least five days prior to the public meeting. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs.
Comments must be received on or before Monday, May 14, 2018, to be a part of the official public meeting record.
