Open House - FM 734 from RM 1431 to SH 45

Purpose:
The purpose of the open house is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to FM 734 (Parmer Lane) between RM 1431 and SH 45 North. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Oct. 10, 2018 to be a part of the official open house record.
Description:
The purpose of the proposed project is to reduce congestion and improve mobility for FM 734 by providing additional roadway capacity to meet future traffic demands due to population growth and increased traffic volumes. The proposed project would:
- Expand FM 734 from four travel lanes to six travel lanes (three in each direction) within the existing right of way
- Improve intersections with additional turn lanes where necessary
- Provide sidewalks throughout the corridor and a dedicated bicycle/pedestrian path connecting Parmer Lane to the Brushy Creek Regional Trail

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
