The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation so the public may come and go at their convenience. Staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Friday, August 2, 2019, to be a part of the official public meeting record.

Description:

The goal of the US 82 project is to widen US 82 from a 2-lane roadway to a 4-lane roadway with a center left turn lane. The project on FM 989 has also been designed to widen the road by adding a center left turn lane to go from a 4-lane roadway to a 4-lane roadway with a center left turn lane. In order to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians, bicycle lanes and sidewalks are proposed to be included on both projects. In addition, each project would include a drainage design featuring a new storm drain system with inlets. Additional right-of-way will be required for both projects.

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English.
