Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to present the proposed project and sidewalk locations to the public and receive comments. Comments must be received on or before Feb. 1, 2019 in order to be part of the official public meeting record. The meeting will be an open house format where the public may come and go at their convenience. Staff will be available to answer questions and take comments.

Description:

The proposed project would construct sidewalk and ADA improvements on both sides of SH 351 from BU 83-D (Treadaway Blvd) to I-20. Written comments may be submitted for a period of 15 calendar days, by Feb. 1, 2019, following the meeting by mail to TxDOT Abilene District, 4250 N. Clack Street, TX 79601.

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The public meeting will be conducted in English. Persons interested in attending who have special communication needs or needs an interpreter, are encouraged to contact the TxDOT Abilene District Public Information Office at (325) 676-6817.  Requests should be made at least two days prior to the public meeting.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
