Notice of Availability of Finding of No Significant Impact - SH 146 from BS 146 to Ferry Road

Purpose:

TxDOT has issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for the proposed SH 146 project from BS 146 to Ferry Road in Harris County, Texas.

Description:

The majority of the existing roadway within the project limits has six 12-foot lanes divided by a grassy median. The proposed SH 146 project would extend four additional main lanes with 10-foot outside shoulders, between the existing six 12-foot lanes. The existing six-lane roadway with a grassy median would become the proposed future frontage roads. A grade separation would be constructed for the main lanes of SH 146 over Alexander Drive. The proposed project would be constructed entirely within the 300-336-foot existing ROW. The proposed project would include drainage improvements within the project limits and would not require the acquisition of additional ROW.

Copies of the FONSI Document, the approved Final Environmental Assessment are available for public inspection and reproduction at the TxDOT at the Houston District Headquarters, 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas 77007, (713) 802-5241, and online.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
