Public Hearing - I-35 at Williams Drive

Purpose:
The purpose of the public hearing is to present the proposed improvements for I-35 from south of Williams Drive to south of Lakeway Drive in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format for the first part of the meeting and staff will be available to answer questions, the public hearing portion of the meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Comments must be received on or before Nov. 23, 2018 to be a part of the official hearing record.
Description:
Proposed improvements include the following:
- Reconstruct the Williams Drive interchange to a Diverging Diamond Intersection
- Improve the existing southbound frontage road
- Extend the northbound frontage road from Williams Drive to the Lakeway Drive exit ramp
- Construct intersection bypass lanes under Williams Drive to allow drivers to avoid the traffic signal
- Improve bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along the I-35 frontage roads

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
