Media: Media will have the opportunity to interview representatives from TxDOT, DPS and AAA about work zone safety, increased enforcement and the increased number of travelers on I-35. Visuals include examples of what drivers should look for such as work zone equipment and signage.

AUSTIN — As the Texas Department of Transportation tackles the most construction miles along I-35 in department history, educating the public on the necessity of driving safely through work zones is a top priority. In an effort to reduce the rising number of traffic and work zone-related fatalities, TxDOT is partnering with DPS and AAA to enhance driver education and law enforcement to protect lives.
