Traffic changes part of Yucca Lane bridge project
LUBBOCK – Next week, the northbound I-27 frontage road on-ramp to I-27 north will be closed to traffic. The closure will allow crews to begin work on the new northbound I-27 exit ramp bridge.
Beginning after morning rush hour, on Monday, April 28, I-27 Exit 6B will be closed to traffic. Drivers will be directed to take the next on-ramp just north of Business Park Boulevard to access the northbound main lanes.
The on-ramp is expected to remain closed through mid-May. The work will take place weather permitting and is part of a $24.3 million project to improve mobility along I-27 in Lubbock County by rebuilding the Yucca Lane bridge.
