Pavement work scheduled for Slaton intersection
US 84, FM 41 intersection closure planned
SLATON—The Texas Department of Transportation’s SE Lubbock Maintenance crew is scheduled to place a new road surface on the US 84, FM 41 (Division Street) intersection in Slaton, starting Monday, May 12; weather permitting.
Plans call for the crew to mill the intersection on Monday and then place a new asphalt surface on Tuesday. The work will require the intersection to be closed during the operation and overnight on Monday with the intersection re-opening to traffic Tuesday afternoon.
Traffic will be detoured around the work zone.
The east side US 84 frontage road traffic will be detoured east at Division Street. West side frontage road traffic will be able to continue traveling north and south across Division Street.
