Loop 88 bridge deck operations taking place Saturday
Slide Road intersection to be closed
LUBBOCK – On Saturday, June 7, Slide Road, at Loop 88, will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to allow crews to safely pour the concrete deck for the new bridge. Both north-and southbound traffic will be detoured around the area.
The operation will only take place on Saturday, weather permitting. No Sunday work is scheduled.
This work is part of a $154.8 million project to convert FM 1585 from a rural, two-lane roadway into Loop 88, a six-lane freeway with frontage roads, bridges, and ramps.
