Loop 224 - Main Objectives

The following are the main objectives for the project, which will run from US 59 to Business US 59:

• Widen the existing roadway from two lanes to four lanes
• Evaluate the alternatives of a raised concrete curb median or a depressed grass ditch
• Build a median to separate eastbound and westbound traffic
• Evaluate locations for median crossover access
• Evaluate the need for new bridge structures over the UP railroad and over Business US 59 in order to improve safety and mobility in the area
