SH 99 from Cinco Ranch Boulevard to Westheimer Parkway and from Fry Road to FM 1093
TxDOT, in conjunction with Fort Bend County, will host a public meeting regarding the proposed addition of southbound frontage roads to SH 99 from Cinco Ranch Boulevard to Westheimer Parkway and from Fry Road to FM 1093 in Fort Bend County, Texas. The proposed project is anticipated to improve mobility and reduce congestion.
Current conditions
Within the project limits, SH 99 is a four-lane divided highway without frontage roads.
Proposed improvements
The proposed design would add frontage roads to the existing SH 99, currently a four-lane divided highway. The proposed project would also include ramp modifications.
The proposed project is comprised of two segments. Segment 1 from Cinco Ranch Boulevard to Westheimer Parkway and Segment 2 from Fry Road to FM 1093. The proposed project includes the addition of two new frontage lanes adjacent to the southbound side of the existing SH99/Grand Parkway. The travel lanes could be 12- or 14-feet-wide, partly within existing TxDOT right of way (ROW). The project also includes minor adjustments at the interchanges, without ramp reversals.
