Greens Road
Study description
The City of Houston, in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Houston District, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) proposes to widen Greens Road from Aldine-Westfield Road to John F. Kennedy Boulevard.
Current conditions
Currently a two-lane undivided roadway, with parallel roadside ditches and six-foot-wide unpaved shoulders.
Proposed improvements
The proposed project includes the widening of 1.6 miles of Greens Road from Aldine-Westfield Road to John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Houston, Harris County, Texas. The proposed project would widen from a two- to a four-lane divided roadway with sidewalks on both sides, a raised median, and curb and gutter drainage. The project will require additional Right of Way. No displacements are anticipated to occur.
