BW 8 and SH 225 Direct Connectors
Introduction
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) are partnering to improve the connectivity of the Sam Houston Tollway (BW8) and State Highway (SH) 225 between the limits of east of Bearle Street to east of Shell Dock Road and from Jones Channel City Road to Greenshadow Drive in Harris County, Texas.
Current conditions
Currently BW8 and SH 225 do not have direct connections. This forces travelers to exit one facility and enter the next via the frontage road system.
Proposed improvements
The project involves the construction of direct connector ramps at the interchange of BW 8 and SH 225 in Harris County, Texas.

Additional information
The proposed improvements would take place generally within the existing right of way (ROW) along SH 225. Although a total of 2.08 acres of new ROW is required no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time.
