Loop 375 - Franklin Mountains State Park Entrance

The proposed improvements to Loop 375 at the Franklin Mountains State Park entrance will address concerns expressed by the public and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Current conditions

Increasing traffic on Loop 375 is making access to Franklin Mountains State Park difficult.

Proposed improvements

TxDOT developed five alternatives that were provided at the public meeting on Dec. 11, 2013. Blank aerial photos were provided showing the existing conditions. The public was encouraged to use the aerial photos as templates to draw their ideas and provide other possible alternatives or offer comments on the five alternatives.

TxDOT continues to conduct traffic engineering analysis and collect accident data.

Addendum

Analysis indicates there is no need to further improve the entrance; however, due to the expansion of Loop 375 traveling through Franklin Mountains State Park, improved connectivity is necessary to provide access from one side to the other.

Get involved

A public meeting was conducted on April 10, 2013 and on Dec. 11, 2013.
