Notice Finding of No Significant Impact for US 59/77 from FM 236 to BU 77
This notice advises the public that TxDOT has issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for the proposed US59/US 77 project, and that the FONSI is available for public review. The proposed project would widen US 59/77 from a 2-lane highway to a 4-lane divided highway from FM 236 to BU 77 in Victoria County, Texas.
The proposed project would extend for a total of 5.12 miles along US 59 and US 77 from FM 236 to BU 77. The proposed project would include the construction of divided mainlanes that consist of four 12-foot-wide travel lanes, two in each direction, and 10-foot-wide outside shoulders. One-way frontage roads that consist of two 12-foot-wide travel lanes with a four-foot inside shoulder and a 10-foot outside shoulder would also be constructed throughout the project limits. The proposed frontage roads would not be controlled access roads. The project would include the construction of direct connectors for US 59 northbound and southbound at BU 59. A grade separated interchange is proposed at US 77 and Old Goliad Road. The FONSI is on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Yoakum District Office located at 403 Huck St, Yoakum, TX 77995.
For further information or to request a copy of the FONSI and/or approved final EA, please contact the Yoakum District by phone (361) 293-4300.
