| Virtual details | The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., and will remain online until Friday, June 5, 2026. |
| Open house details | Thursday, May 21, 2026 The public meeting will be held in “open house” format. Attendees will be able to view hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants and leave written comments. There will be no formal presentation at this meeting. |
| Purpose | TxDOT is conducting a feasibility study to explore a potential relief route around the City of Bay City in Matagorda County, Texas. |
| Description | The purpose of the relief route is to help reduce congestion while also improving safety and mobility. |
| Accessibility | The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
