FM 434 Waco Roadway Improvement Project
The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow and safety of the FM 434 corridor from FM 3400 in McLennan County to FM 2839 in Falls County, Texas.
Proposed improvements
- Rebuild the travel lanes and widen the shoulders along FM 434
- Expand the two-foot shoulders to eight-foot shoulders

- The purpose of the Notice and Opportunity to Comment is to gather input on the proposed improvements on FM 434 from FM 3400 in McLennan County to FM 2839 in Falls County, Texas
- Comments must be received on or before June 10, 2021, to be a part of the official record

Memorandum of understanding
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated Dec. 16, 2014, reauthorized by a subsequent MOU on Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
