FM 1957 (Potranco Road)

Open house attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the online public meeting which will be playing on a screen, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and or consultants, and leave written comments. The Open House will be held at the following date, time, and location:

The virtual option will consist of the same pre-recorded video presentation delivered at the public hearing and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by Wednedsday, Oct. 21, 2026, at 5 p.m. and will remain online for at least 15 days.

If you do not have internet access, you may call the TxDOT Project Manager at (210) 615-6413 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process.

The proposed improvements include:

• Expanding the existing two-lane road to six lanes with raised concrete medians, curb, Shared Use Path, and drainage improvements.
  
• Operational improvements on intersections through the corridor including SH 211.

The proposed project would require additional Right of Way (ROW) and potentially displace one non-residential structure. In addition, the proposed project would impact approximately 1.73 acres of Potranco Elementary School property, which includes a portion of the pickup queue lanes. No structures on the school property would be impacted. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling the Right of Way Project Manager at (210) 615-6352.

Any wetlands within the project limits will be studied for potential impacts.

Exhibits showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the TxDOT San Antonio District Office located at 4615 Northwest Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78229, (210) 615-6413. These materials will also be available in hard copy form for review at the Open House.
