Where: Sherman Municipal Ballroom
405 North Rusk Street
Sherman, TX 75090

When: Tuesday, June 21, 2011
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Purpose: A public meeting to present progress made toward a proposed Grayson County Tollway from Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 121 south of Gunter to US Highway 75 in Denison.

The length of the proposed tollway would vary depending on the alignment chosen; however, the entire length from both southern and northern limits is approximately 33 miles (including built sections of SH 289 through a recent pass-through financing agreement).

Note: The meeting will consist of a brief presentation of the project followed by an Open House.

Description: The proposed facility would be designed to do the following:
  • Accommodate residential and commercial development in Grayson County
  • Relieve traffic congestion along US 75 through the cities of Sherman and Denison
  • Link the proposed centers of development within Grayson County
  • Provide a transportation system that connects Grayson County to the northern edge of the expanding Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metropolitan area
