Public Hearing - US 59 at Loop 224

Open House: 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Hearing: 7 p.m.
Purpose:A hearing to discuss the improvements to United States Highway (US) 59 at Loop 224 from Spradley Street to State Highway (SH) 7 in Nacogdoches.

Note: This hearing was original scheduled for Feb. 3 but was canceled due to inclement weather.

Description:The proposed project would consist of the following:
  • Upgrading US 59 to a Business 59 section with a raised median
  • Reconfiguring the cloverleaf interchange at Loop 224 to a diamond interchange
  • Construction of north and south bound direct connectors to Loop 224
  • Due to funding limitations, the project would be constructed in phases
