Purpose The purpose of the virtual public meeting is to gather public input on the reconstruction and widening of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1485 from State Highway (SH) 242 to Kidd Cemetery Road in Montgomery County, Texas. The virtual meeting will consist of a narrated presentation by the project team, project exhibits and other information, and an opportunity to comment. Comments must be received on or before Friday, August 7, 2020, to be a part of the official meeting record.
Description

The proposed project of FM 1485 includes:

  • Widening FM 1485 from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane divided roadway from SH 242 to Kidd Cemetery Road
  • A raised median from SH 242 to Caney Drive
  • A continuous center turn lane from Caney Drive to Kidd Cemetery Road
  • A 10-foot side path on each side of the road for pedestrians and cyclists

The project would require additional right-of-way (ROW) and may require displacements.
