When:

Open House: 5:30 p.m.
Hearing: 6:30 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to SH 146 with the construction of four main lanes in the existing right of way between BS 146 and Ferry Road in Baytown, Harris County, Texas. The first part of the meeting will be an open house format so citizens may come and go at their convenience, followed by a formal presentation and comment period.

Description:

Proposed improvements include the following:

  • Extending four additional main lanes between the existing six 12-foot lanes and constructing two 10-foot shoulders
  • Adding a grade separation to the main lanes of SH 146 over Alexander Drive
  • Adding drainage improvements within project limits

The total project area is approximately 1.45 miles. The proposed project would be constructed entirely within the 300-336 foot existing right of way and would not require the acquisition of additional right of way. Written comments must be postmarked or submitted electronically by July 14, 2017.
