Purpose TxDOT is providing an in-person public meeting for individuals who would like to participate in a discussion for the I-45 North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP). The public meeting will focus on Segment 3 of the NHHIP, the status of activities and requirements under the Voluntary Resolution Agreement (VRA) between TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
Description

The I-45 NHHIP is designed to create additional roadway capacity to manage congestion, enhance safety, and improve mobility. The project spans I-45 from I-69 to Beltway 8 North, including I-69 improvements between Spur 527 and I-45 in Harris County, Texas. This encompasses the reconstruction of the downtown Houston freeway loop system, including I-45, I-69, I-10, and SH 288. In Segment 3, I-45 will be rerouted from the west side of downtown Houston to run parallel with I-69 and I-10 until it exits the downtown area and continues north.

Environmental studies and project updates are available online on the project webpage. Materials are also on file and available for review Monday through Friday by appointment between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Houston District Office, 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas, 77007.
