| Purpose | The TxDOT Houston District is proposing improvements along FM 1314 from SH 105 to SH 242 in Montgomery County, Texas. |
| Description | The proposed project would include the reconstruction and widening of FM 1314 from a two lane (one lane in each direction) roadway to a four lane (two lanes in each direction) roadway with 12-foot-wide lanes. These improvements would include raised medians and 10-foot-wide shared use paths for bicycles and pedestrians on either side of the roadway. In addition, the project may include intersection improvements throughout the corridor. Innovative intersection strategies, such as roundabouts, continuous green-T intersections (CGTs), and restricted crossing U-turns (RCUTs), are being evaluated as alternatives to improve safety and operations. The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require 55 acres of additional right-of-way (ROW) and potentially displace three residences and seven non-residential structures. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for ROW acquisition, may be obtained from Angela Leach-Jayroe, Right-of-Way Project Delivery Manager, by calling 713-802-5753. Any environmental documentation or studies, maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for review, by appointment only, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Houston District Office, 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas 77007.
