The purpose of the open house is to present recommendations to improve Mesa Street (SH 20), from Doniphan Drive (SH 20) to Cesar Chavez Border Highway (Loop 375) and gather input from the public. 


The Mesa Street-SH 20 Corridor Study is currently in the alternative analyses phase that has generated recommended concepts to upgrade and improve Mesa Street, and address the year 2040 travel demand volumes forecasted along Mesa Street. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to do so at their convenience. Displays will be available for review and comment and TxDOT staff will be available to answer questions. All material will be presented in English and Spanish. No formal presentation will be given.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.

Comments must be received on or before Feb. 23, 2018 to be a part of the official open house record.
