Virtual details | The virtual hearing will consist of a recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, by 5:30 p.m. MDT. If you do not have internet access, you may call 915-790-4221 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials. |
In-person details | Burges High School Blackbox Theater From 5:30 pm (MDT) to 8:00 pm (MDT) TxDOT is providing an in-person option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. In-person attendees will experience the presentation live and the same presentation will be recorded and posted online. In-person attendees will also be able to review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants, and leave written comments. |
Description | The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso District and El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) invite you to a public hearing regarding the El Paso District Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects. All interested persons are invited to attend this public hearing to obtain information about the district transportation projects, programs, and policies affecting bicycle use on the state highway system and to express their views. |
Purpose | The purpose of the hearing is to present transportation projects, programs, and policies affecting bicycle use and pedestrian mobility improvements in El Paso and surrounding communities and gather input on those projects. |
Accessibility | The virtual public hearing and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Memorandum of Understanding | In accordance with Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Title 43, Part 1, Chapter 25, Subchapter D, Rule §25.55 (a) and (b), the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) El Paso District is partnering with the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) to offer an in-person public hearing on transportation projects, programs, and policies affecting bicycle use and pedestrian mobility improvements in El Paso and surrounding communities. |
