Purpose:

The purpose of the hearing is to present the planned improvements and solicit public comments on the proposed US 175 frontage road improvements in the City of Crandall, Kaufman County, Texas. Displays will be available for viewing at 6 p.m with the formal hearing starting at 7 p.m. Comments must be received on or before Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, to be a part of the official record.

Description:

The proposed project is located along US 175 from FM 148 to CR 4106 in eastern Crandall, a total length of approximately 2.8 miles. The project would consists of the construction of a new frontage road on the south side of US 175 between FM 148 and CR 4106, and the conversion of the existing two-way frontage road on the north side of US 175 to one-way operation. The proposed project would require approximately 32 acres of new right of way and 0.72 acre of permanent easements.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
