FM 982 Project from US 380 to FM 546

The proposed project would widen the FM 982 roadway to a four-lane divided roadway. A 10-foot-wide shared-use path would be constructed on both sides of the roadway. However, between US 380 and CR 400 (Myrick Lane)/FM 452, a six-foot-wide sidewalk would be constructed on the southbound side of the roadway, which would transition to a shared-use path. Proposed drainage would consist of curb and gutter throughout the project limits. The proposed right-of-way (ROW) width varies throughout the project limits but is typically 120 feet.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potentially displace one residential structure. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling 214-320-6675.

The proposed project may involve construction in wetlands and would involve an action in a floodplain.

The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English.
