FM 460 from US 80 to FM 740 and FM 740 from Ranch Road to north of Maverick Drive

The proposed project would reconstruct and widen FM 460 between US 80 and FM 740, and FM 740 between Ranch Road and Maverick Drive in the city of Forney, Kaufman County from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane (ultimate six-lane) divided roadway. A continuous 6-foot-wide sidewalk will be built on one side of the roadway and a continuous 10-foot-wide shared-use path on the other side. The existing FM 460 and FM 740 right-of-way (ROW) width is approximately 90 feet wide throughout the length of the project. The proposed ROW width is 120 to 215 feet wide. The overall project length would be approximately 5 miles. 

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potentially displace one residential and one commercial structure.

The in-person public meeting and virtual option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you.
