Notice of availability of final environmental assessment

Purpose

This notice advises the public that TxDOT has issued a final environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed FM 1171 project, and that the final EA is available for public review.

Description

The proposed project would construct a new location non-freeway roadway of FM 1171 from West of FM 156 to I-35W in Denton County, Texas. The approved final EA is on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at TxDOT Dallas District Office, 4777 E. U.S. Highway 80, Mesquite, TX 75150, or call (214) 320-6100. It is also available online.

Pursuant to 23 CFR 771.119(h), TxDOT will issue a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for this project no sooner than 30 days after the issuance of this notice of availability.

If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to review the EA, please contact the Dallas District Public Information Office, at 214-320-4480 no later than 4 p.m. CT, at least three business days before the date on which you would like to review the EA. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
