Open House - FM 1375 Roundabouts

| Purpose: | The purpose of the open house is to provide awareness about the upcoming construction of two roundabouts (circular intersections) along Farm-to-Market Road 1375 in New Waverly, and to provide an opportunity to answer questions about the roundabout designs and driving considerations. | ||
| Description: | Construction of two roundabouts will begin in August 2014 along FM 1375 at the Interstate 45 frontage road intersections. The modern roundabout is a circular intersection, where traffic flows in one direction around a center island. With no stop signs or traffic signals, drivers yield at entry to the roundabout and exit at their desired street. The new roundabout designs will replace the current two-way intersections, and is expected to improve safety and relieve traffic congestion. TxDOT staff will display a roundabout model, provide a roundabout video to show drivers how to drive through the roundabouts and answer any project questions. Since this is an open house format, no formal presentation is planned. Attendees may come and go at their convenience, and the public is encouraged to attend and provide comments.
