Purpose

The TxDOT Bryan District will conduct an online virtual public meeting for the 2027 – 2030 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (Rural TIP). The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area.

Description

The Bryan District includes Brazos, Burleson, Freestone, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Milam, Robertson, Walker and Washington counties. The Rural TIP includes both grouped projects and individually listed projects that include added-capacity projects and regionally significant projects to be funded during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. This meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

The Rural TIP meetings are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the Rural TIP. The virtual public meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation explaining how the Rural TIP operates and a listing of projects that are included in it. The virtual public meeting will be posted online and remain available for public viewing.

Accessibility

The pre-recorded virtual public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.

If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact the Bryan District public information officer at 979-778-9764 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Friday, March 27, 2026. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
