Purpose

The TxDOT Brownwood District will conduct an online virtual public meeting for the proposed 2027 – 2030 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP). The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area.

Description

The Brownwood District includes Brown, Coleman, McCulloch, Lampasas, Mills, San Saba, Stephens, Eastland and Comanche counties. The rural TIP includes both grouped projects and individually listed projects that include added-capacity projects and regionally significant projects to be funded outside of MPO boundary, and within a TxDOT district during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. This meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on proposed priorities. The RTIP is the first step on the road to producing the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).

The Rural TIP meeting is being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the program.

Accessibility

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The information will be posted in English. If you have special communication or accommodation needs, or have a need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs.

Please call at 325-643-0413 at least five working days prior to the comment deadline. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodation may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
