Virtual details

The virtual public meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online to this webpage on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, by 5:30 p.m CT., and will remain online, until Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025.

If you do not have internet access, you may call a voicemail, at 325-643-0409, and leave a message to ask questions or request project materials and someone will get back to you as promptly as possible.

The in-person options will be held in a come-and-go open house format. In-person attendees will be able to view the same pre-recorded presentation delivered in the virtual option, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and consultants, and leave written comments. There will be no live presentation at the event. Please note that the same information will be available at the virtual public meeting and all three in-person meetings. 

Purpose

TxDOT is initiating a route study for the proposed I-14 Corridor between the cities of Copperas Cove and Lometa in Lampasas County, Texas. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be hosting the first public meeting series on the proposed study with a virtual public meeting and three in-person options. 

Description TxDOT is initiating a route study between the cities of Copperas Cove and Lometa in Lampasas County, Texas. The study will determine the potential location of future I-14. The study will be in coordination with the ongoing Lampasas Relief Route Study and I-14 corridor studies across the state. 
Accessibility The virtual public meeting and in-person options will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or the in-person options, please contact the team at 325-643-0413 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Monday, Nov. 24, 2025. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated July 17, 2025, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
