Online Comment Opportunity - Beaumont District 2021-2024 Rural TIP Revision

Purpose:

The purpose of this online comment opportunity is to receive comments on projects to be delayed from the list of projects previously proposed in the Beaumont District 2021-2024 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Tyler and Jasper Counties. A face-to-face meeting is not scheduled; however, the public is encouraged to view project information and submit comments about the project by Monday, Feb. 1, 2021.

Description:

The Beaumont District list of projects is now being adjusted prior to its approval and adoption as the Beaumont District 2021-2024 Rural TIP due to statewide fiscal constraint. Projects with delayed letting dates include (as noted by the Control Section Job numbers):

0200-08-049, US 69 Tyler County from South of Black Creek to the Hardin County line - widening from two to four lanes divided. The original letting date was scheduled for May 2021 and is now estimated to be September 2023.
0064-07-044, US 96 Jasper County from Sabine County line to North of RE 255 - widening from two to four lanes divided. The original letting date was scheduled for January 2023 and is now estimated to be January 2025.
0064-08-062, US 96 Jasper County from north of RE 255 south to RE 255 - widening from two to four lanes divided. The original letting date was scheduled for January 2023 and is now estimated to be January 2025.
