FM 787 Trinity River Bridge replacement

Note: The in-person option will be held in open house format with no formal presentation. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the virtual public meeting, which will be playing on a screen; review hard copies of project materials; ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants; and leave written comments.

Proposed improvements include reconstructing and realigning the FM 787 Trinity River Bridge at a new location between Rayburn and Romayor. The proposed alignment would be approximately 2 miles in length with a proposed right of way of 150 feet. The proposed pavement would have two travel lanes, one in each direction, with shoulders on each side.

Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling 409-828-7284.

The proposed project would involve construction in wetlands. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.

Any environmental documentation or studies, any maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at TxDOT Beaumont District, located at 8350 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, TX 77708-1701, or via phone at 409-892-7311.

The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
