Virtual details The virtual public meeting presentation and materials will be posted on this webpage by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 . Please note, this is not a live event. The materials can be viewed at your convenience.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area.

The Beaumont district includes: Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, and Tyler Counties. Of these, only Newton and Tyler Counties are within the boundaries of the Rural TIP.

The Rural TIP includes all added capacity and regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, this meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).

The virtual public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting, please contact the Beaumont District Public Information Officer, at (409) 898-5745 no later than 5 p.m. CT, Friday, April 26, 2024. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of Transportation to arrange.

If you do not have internet access, you may call 409-898-5732  between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions about the RTIP or receive materials.
